The Qube I rented has the wrong plug for my phone. +

Every qube has an Apple Lightning, Android Type-C, and Android Micro-USB cable.

How do I return my Qube? +

Qubes can be returned to any open charging slot on any kiosk within our network. You can find our kiosks by going to the “Locate” tab on the MobileQubes App. Just type your city, state, or zip code and our kiosks would appear as battery icons on the map.


Payment Questions

How much does a Qube cost? +

Pricing would be shown on the Mobile App before starting a rental.

Generally, the daily rental fee for a Qube varies by market and location from $1.99 – $6.99 + tax for the first 24 hours. After the initial 24 hours, you will be charged $0.99 – $1.99 + tax for each additional 24-hour period you keep the Qube.

For Qubes kept more than 6 days, you will be charged the full purchase price of $39.99 – $49.99 + tax and daily rental fees and it is yours to keep.

Which credit cards are accepted on the MobileQubes App? +

Our MobileQubes App accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and debit cards. Gift cards are not accepted.

The payment method will then be saved on our Mobile App to use for future rentals and any outstanding balance for unreturned Qubes

When will my credit card be charged? +

Upon rental of a Qube, your card will be charged the initial rental fee plus tax.

When you return the Qube, your credit card will be processed again for $0.99 – $1.99 for any additional rental days beyond the first 24 hours.

If you do not return your Qube within the first 6 days, your card will be charged the full purchase price and daily rental fees, plus tax.

For certain transactions as deemed necessary by MobileQubes, a hold for the full purchase value of the Qube plus daily rental fees (incl. tax) may be placed on your payment method as part of the initial rental transaction.

This is a temporary hold to verify availability of funds for future charges that may be incurred during the rental period. The hold will be released, less any additional rental fees, when the Qube is returned to any kiosk. Released funds will be available in your account with in 24 hours of processing the return, depending on your card provider.

If the Qube is not returned within the maximum rental period then the full amount of funds on hold will be charged to the card to cover the full purchase value of the Qube plus daily rental fees (incl. tax).


Return Questions

Where do I return the Qube after my phone is charged? +

You can return your Qube to any MobileQubes kiosk within our network. Just insert the Qube to any open slot and you will receive a return notification via email. You can find available locations on the MobileQubes App via the “Locate” tab.

How long can I keep my Qube? Can I keep it overnight? +

Each rental period is 24 hours. The rental period starts once your Qube is rented and ends when you return your Qube to one of our kiosks.

The daily rental fee of $0.99 – $1.99 + tax will apply for each additional 24 hours (or fraction thereof) you keep your Qube. After 6 days, the Qube is considered to be purchased according to the terms and conditions, and the full purchase price plus tax and daily rental fees will be charged to your credit card.

What happens if I don’t return the Qube? +

If you are unable to return the Qube back to a MobileQubes kiosk within the rental period window, the Qube will be considered “purchased” in accordance with the terms and conditions . Your credit card will be charged the full purchase price and daily rental fees plus tax.

How do I request a refund? +

Should you have any billing concerns or refund requests, please contact our customer support team at info@mobileQubes.com or call/text us at 1-800-266-0425.

We will investigate the matter and take appropriate actions, including but not limited to a refund when necessary.

A refund minus rental fees and any applicable restocking fees may be provided for any rentals kept beyond the 6 day rental period if requested within 30 days of the final transaction.

Are Qubes covered under any warranty after purchase? +

Yes, any purchased Qube has a full 1 year warranty. If you request a refund within the first 30 days of purchase, a full refund will be provided or you may swap out your Qube for a new one for any reason.

If you have any issues beyond the 30 days and up to one year from purchase, we will swap your Qube out with a brand new one for free. All we ask is that you send back the defective Qube with the shipping label we will provide you. In some cases a restocking fee may be applied.


Qube Questions

What devices can be charged with a Qube? +

There are three different types of charging tips on each Qube: Apple Lightning, Micro-USB, and USB-Type C. Apple Lightning Qubes will charge all iPhones, from iPhone 5 to the latest iPhone versions as well as Apple Airpods. Micro-USB Qubes will charge most older Android devices and most non-phone devices with Micro-USB inputs. USB-Type C Qubes will charge newer Android devices.

How long does it take to charge my device? +

Qubes charge at the same rate as standard wall chargers. The charging output for Apple Lightning charging ports are 1A. The charging output for Micro-USB and Standard USB charging ports are 1.5A. The charging output for USB-Type C charging ports are 1.5A.

How much of a charge will my phone get? +

Qubes have a battery capacity of 5000mAh. The amount of charge your phone will get depends on the phone type and how you are using it (see the next entry for best charging practices). Here are a few common phone types and the approximate level of charge Qubes can provide:

iPhone 5,6,7,8 — up to 150%
iPhone X, Xr, Xs — up to 100%

What’s the most efficient way to charge a phone? +

The fastest, most efficient way to charge your phone with the MobileQube is with the phone on Airplane Mode. When the phone is in use, the backlit screen and active apps could significantly slow down the recharging. You may also recharge quickly with Qube when your phone is turned off.

How do I turn off my Qube? +

You can press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds at anytime and the Qube will turn off. If the Power button is pressed once, and the Qube is not actively charging a device, then the Qube will turn off after 20 seconds.

Can I use a Qube to charge my iPad or Tablet? +

Yes; however, tablets have very large battery packs and, though Qubes will be able to keep your device going for an extended period of time, they will not be able to fully charge those devices.

The Qube is warm while charging in my pocket, is this normal? +

Yes. Qubes will be heated slightly when charging and discharging and is part of normal operation

Can I use my device while it is charging? +

Yes. Devices can be used while you charge on-the-go. However, recharging works best when the device is on Airplane Mode or is turned off.

How do I recharge my Qube? +

You can recharge the Qube using a USB-C type cable. Connect the Qube to either a wall outlet or a laptop/computer and the blue light would start a breathing effect once it starts to charge.

The Qube is not charging my phone when I plug it in, is it broken? +

Please check the following points to ensure proper operation of your Qube: There is a blue Power button on the side of a Qube. Connect your device to the Qube and press the power button. The blue LEDs will light up on the Qube and your device will begin charging.

Ensure that you have the correct charging tip that is compatible with your device and that it is fully inserted into the charging port. If you have a case, check to make sure that it is not inhibiting a full connection with your device. See the note above regarding compatible cases.
